Terrible mistake at 79 years old buying this car
by Coin Dealer on Thursday, May 15, 2025
The New BMW X3 2025 is beautiful inside and out but the technology is meant for the younger generations. This car has iDrive 9 and is impossible to learn. The voice recognition is horrible. You put into android auto or iphone and it keeps failing. My neighbor got the new iDrive 9 in his 2024 and after 1 year neither he nor his wife can figure out how to use the car. She refuses to drive the car because she can not get the navigation to work and her husband agrees. Do not go near this system if you are over 50. you'll never learn it. - 2.0
Fun drive, everything else is junk
by LovesBMWhatesftwrbugs on Friday, February 20, 2026
Electronics failures from the start, dash going black and not working, phones don't connect, interior mood lighting failures after less than 3 weeks, and center console that won't stay closed because of defective latch system that is mysteriously on back order... due to lots of them failing? Drives like a BMW, and I've owned 4. Fun to drive. Buy one if you want to fight with the electrical gremlins, want all your cups to eject from the rear seat cupholders because they are configured with springs for some reason, and if you want to be in the shop every month since you bought the thing. Also, don't expect the trunk to close when you press the button - it only works part of the time. Same with the auto start/stop disable button. Expect to press that 2-3 times to get it to work.
