The BMW 3 Series represents luxury, reliability, and performance. Consisting of eight unique models (i.e., the BMW 3 Series Sedan, BMW ActiveHybrid 3, BMW 3 Series Touring wagon, BMW 3 Series Coupe, BMW 3 Series Convertible, BMW M3 Sedan, BMW M3 Coupe and BMW M3 Convertible),it has been a symbol of the German automaker's quality for a long time now. And, for this 2012 BMW 3 Series, BMW is sprucing it up with even more advanced technology and luxury additions.

Aiming to offer customers considerably more features for less money, BMW has given the 3 series a more elegant appearance, uptown interior, variety of more high-efficiency turbo engines and for the first time ever - optional XDrive all-wheel drive, available hybrid variant, all-new personalization program, and color HUD. BMW has even paid extra attention to comfort, adding more interior driver and passenger space to surpass the cabin space offered in competing sedans such as the A4 and C-Class.

When will the updated BMW 3 Series arrive at BMW of the Main Line, located at 225 Bala Avenue in Bala Cynwyd? Next year. Though, the eight different models are expected to arrive within slightly different time frames. That's right...still eight. BMW has negated rumors, which claim the BMW 3 Series Touring wagon will not find its way stateside this year.

Drawing largely on the features offered in the 1 Series and 5 Series (i.e., eight-speed automatic transmission, stop-start technology, electric assisted steering, four selectable driving modes and multi-function screen operated by the iDrive console knob), the next-gen 3 Series (including the Touring) has been in developmental stages for about two years - the longest of any BMW production model to date. While we understand it's hard to play the waiting game, we promise this is one example of a good thing worth waiting for.
